Hooray two more days!!!!! This Friday, June 8th is our Family Carnival and Magic Night!!!!! You won’t want to miss this fun family activity!

Plan on bringing a blanket or chairs to sit and watch the activities when you’re not participating. This is a family event with many different cattegories, and prizes like:

  • gift cards
  • t-shirts
  • boogie boards
  • beach towels
  • toys
  • etc=)

Wear comfortable clothing!!! We will also be having ART TILES for sale to paint that night for $20. Glow Necklaces for $1 and a dinner plate for $5.

If you haven’t bought your wristbands don’t wait!!! Once they are gone that’s it!

**Pre-sale Wristbands can be picked up at the office Friday or the will call table the day of the event. From 4-6pm.

On Thursday we had the Mother’s Day Tea! 

The little performance with songs was adorable and the Mother’s Day hats we were given were the amazing little touches here at Perry that really are touching. 

Thank you for such a nice Mother’s Day Tea! Yummy Lemonade (LOL) and the snacks and goodies were delicious!

  • June 8th is the End of the Year Magic Show!!!! From 5-8 p.m. all families are invited to come do games, win prizes, and have fun! There will be a #TACOSTAND too or you may bring your own dinners. It is $30 of a family of 4 ($7.50) a piece for a wristband) 
  • 6/13 #AquariumOnWheels The Field Trip is coming to us! How cool is that?!
  • 6/21 Preppie-K #Promotion 8:15-9:15 am, auditorium —> The kids will be recognized on stage, sing a few songs =) and receive their scrapbook and class DVD.

Tonight is the Music Performance!!!

Kids need to be dropped off by 5:45pm in the Music Portable (*near playground) .

They need to have a Purple shirt, jeans & closed toe shoes (so no smashed toesies).

Starts at 6pm-6:45pm

A bake sale will follow the Performance! Are you bringing anything yummy? :)

If you are facing the stage, Miss Rodgick’s class is on the far RIGHT, Mrs. Jean’s class is in the Middle and Mrs. Holmes’ class will be on the far LEFT.

There will be a bake sale directly after the Music Performance tomorrow, Thursday April 19th. If you would like to make/purchase and donate some yummy treats or sweets for the bake sale…let the Teacher know =) Money raised goes directly back into the Music Program here at Perry.

Perry is a great school! But we need help! We can’t do it alone! It takes great leadership, creativity, initiative, and willingness to try something new. These following positions are open for the 2012-2013 school year. If you know you have what it takes or you can volunteer some of your time to a good cause, please talk to the front office or fill out the form and send back to school.

 The Nominating committee will review all applicants and contact you prior to election at the next PTA meeting on APRIL 11th, 2012

Our BIG Spring FUNDRAISER is the Jog-A-Thon!!! 

  • When: March 16th
  • Jog-A-Thon will be held in the morning 
  • Sponsors do not need to be there
  • Kids are sponsored by a flat amount to raise for Perry Elementary
  • There is a special Raffle held for those who fundraise at a certain level
  • All kids who raise $50 will be given a jog-a-thon t-shirt please indicate size when you turn in your envelope
Envelope and money need to be turned in by Friday, March 9th to be entered into the raffle drawing. Winners will be announced at the Jog-a-thon!
Why is this Jog-a-thon SO important?

Instead of the usual spring fundraiser where we all buy candy and stuff and only see a portion of the funds raised, it was decided by the Perry Staff and PTA to think smarter I think and put our money where we want in anyway, for our children and the programs here at Perry Elementary. 
The money raised in past fundraisers have been instrumental in keeping this school connected to programs that with the state wide budget cuts might otherwise have been lost or not added at all. These are things like Math programs, Music programs and performances, Art lessons, Library books, assemblies, field trips, science camps , computers and the Fall Festival to name a few! 

Prizes for the JOG-A-THON raffle

  • Sponsor of $25 = lunch with Teacher good for 2 students per classroom
  • Sponsor of $50 = Exclusive Perrry Jog-a-thon t-shirt *every student that reaches this level will get a t-shirt, not a raffle item. Please include their size on the sponsor card when turned in to avoid delays.
  • Sponsor of $75 = lunch with the Principal, Dr. Huibregtse 
  • Sponsor of $100 = Angel Baseball Tickets for four
  • Sponsor of $150 = iPod
  • Sponsor of $200 = E-Reader
  • Sponsor of $250 = Notebook computer
  • Sponsor of $350 = Disneyland Passport
  • Sponsor of $500 = Paid Party at SKY-HIGH for you and friends

Sign up sheet to bring supplies is on the front desk… Items still needed:

  • Secret Item needed for Friday 3/9 by 2 pm: Shamrock Plant (from Trader Joe’s)
  • Everything for Wednesday 3/14 has been signed up for.
  • Friday 3/16: a Big bag of dirt
  • Monday 3/19 by noon: Ladybugs (1 bag or container) This can be found at the Armstrong Garden center.

This week is our Book Fair! It is in Room 17 and will be open this entire week M-F. If you would like to help volunteer with a couple of hours please call the front office for more info.

Wednesday wear your PAJAMAS!

In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday there will be a special reading done by Mrs. Holmes, Ms. Wicks and Dr. Huibregtse starting at 6:00pm until 7:15pm Wednesday night. Should be a lot of fun!

Friday morning is MOM’s and MUFFINS!!! 

Starts at 7:00-8:05 am located in Room 17

Last but not least there is the JOG-A-THON on March 16th.

We have suckers available for purchase for our Valentine grams. Suckers will be available for purchase on Friday Feb.3rd & Monday Feb. 6th. after school our you can fill out the order form sent home send money in by Thursday Feb. 9th. The suckers wil be delivered on Friday February 10th and wil be sent home with the students. This sale directly supports Perry Elementary school.

A - Apple week! Tonight Wednesday January 18 th is the Mc Donald’s fundraiser. Please make sure to bring a green flyer to participate. Mc Donald’s is located in the Seacliff shopping center, cross streets are Goldenwest and Yorktown!
